Stripped assessed and rebuilt
- Strip and assessThe machine comes apart far enough to see what is actually worn rather than what is visible from outside. You get a written list of what it needs, separated into what has to be done and what can wait, with a price against each before any work starts.
- Repair and replaceWorn components repaired where repair is sound and replaced where it is not. We do not fit a cheap part to make a number look better, because the machine comes back to us either way and so does the reputation.
- Test and finishRun, loaded and checked against the settings it will actually work to. Reels set to your height of cut, hydraulics under pressure, electrics through every function. Then it is cleaned and finished before it goes back to you.

What a refurbishment actually covers
A refurbishment here means the machine is returned to reliable working order, not cleaned up and handed back looking better.
Engine service and repair, hydraulic system inspection under pressure, pumps and motors tested rather than assumed, cylinders and hoses replaced where they are weeping, drive components checked for wear. Cutting units stripped, reels ground and bedknives set to your height of cut. Electrical faults traced properly instead of being patched around. Bearings, seals, belts, filters and fluids as required.
Then the cosmetic side, because a machine that looks abandoned gets treated as abandoned. Panels straightened, surfaces refinished, seating and decals replaced where they are past saving.

Structural corrosion, a cracked frame, or a model with no parts left in the supply chain. In those cases we will tell you to put the money toward a replacement, and we can value the old unit as a trade instead.

Refurbishing turf equipment
What does a turf equipment refurbishment include?
Engine service and repair, hydraulic system inspection under pressure with pumps, motors, cylinders and hoses tested rather than assumed, drive components checked for wear, cutting units stripped with reels ground and bedknives set to your height of cut, electrical faults traced properly, and bearings, seals, belts, filters and fluids as required. Cosmetic work is included as well: panels straightened, surfaces refinished, seating and decals replaced where they are past saving.
Do you refurbish equipment I already own?
Yes. We refurbish the machines we sell and machines that belong to you already. You do not need to have bought it from us and you do not need to trade it in afterwards. Bring us the unit, or tell us where it is and we will arrange collection.
Do you refurbish machines that do not run?
Yes, and a machine that is down is often the better candidate, because the fault that stopped it is usually the fault everyone else priced for the worst case. We can tell a failed pump from a split hose and a worn reel from a bad bedknife setting, which is what stops a non running unit being written off unnecessarily.
How long does a refurbishment take?
The strip, the assessment and the work itself are predictable. Parts availability is what sets the real timeline, particularly on older models, so we give you a schedule after the assessment rather than a guess before it. If you have a date you need the machine back for, tell us at the start and we will say honestly whether it is achievable.
Can I get reel grinding on its own?
Yes. Spin and relief grinding with bedknives ground and set to your height of cut is available as a standalone service, so you can send cutting units without sending the whole machine. That is often the most cost effective single thing you can do for cut quality.
Which manufacturers do you refurbish?
Most often John Deere, Toro, Jacobsen, Cushman, Turfco, Kubota, Steiner, Dakota and Smithco. That reflects what moves through Southwest Florida rather than a restriction. If your machine is another make, tell us the model and the fault and we will give you a straight answer about whether we should take it on.
Is refurbishing cheaper than buying a replacement?
Usually, and it comes out of a maintenance budget rather than a capital request. It is also faster, because there is no factory order or dealer allocation to wait on. Where it is not the right answer, because of structural corrosion, a cracked frame, or a model with no parts support left, we will tell you to put the money toward a replacement instead.
